Fall is one of my favorite times for senior portraits in Mobile, Alabama. The temperatures are (hopefully!) a little cooler, the light is gorgeous, and fall outfits add so much variety to your session.

We may not have dramatic fall leaves along the Gulf Coast, but we have plenty of beautiful locations with oak trees, historic architecture, wooded trails, fields, and urban backgrounds.

Here are some of my favorite fall senior portrait locations in and around Mobile.

Downtown senior portraits

Spring Hill College

One of my favorite locations because there is so much variety in one place.

  • Huge oak trees and greenery

  • Beautiful architecture and brick

  • Steps, walkways, and open spaces

  • Great for both casual and dressy outfits

Best for: Classic, Southern, timeless portraits.

Downtown Mobile

Perfect for seniors who want something a little more modern.

  • Historic buildings and brick walls

  • Colorful and urban backgrounds

  • Rooftops, sidewalks, and tucked-away spots

  • Lots of variety within a few blocks

Best for: Urban, trendy, colorful portraits.

What Should You Wear?

Fall is a great time to add layers, textures, and richer colors to your senior portrait outfits. Think denim, sweaters, jackets, boots, dresses, or corduroy—but don't feel like you have to dress for fall just because your session is in October or November.

Choose outfits that feel like you.

How to Choose the Best Fall Senior Portrait Locations in Mobile, AL

Don't choose a location simply because you've seen someone else take pictures there.

Think about the look you want:

Classic & Southern: Spring Hill College or Washington Square

Urban & Modern: Downtown Mobile

Natural & Outdoorsy: Blakeley or a field

Elegant: Bragg-Mitchell Mansion

Coastal: Point Clear or Dauphin Island

Lots of Variety: Fairhope

The best location is the one that fits your personality, your outfits, and the story you want your senior portraits to tell.
