A Senior Portrait Session on the Beach in Pensacola

I had the best time hanging out with Amari and her mom during her senior portrait session on the beach in Pensacola. Pensacola is one of those places that never disappoints. The white sand, clear water, and wide open sky always make such a beautiful setting for senior portraits.

Amari wanted a Pensacola senior portrait session that included the beach along with some natural scenery to add variety to her gallery. That’s one of the things I love about photographing sessions in Pensacola—there are so many great spots within a short distance of each other. It also never looks exactly the same twice. The light, the tide, and even the season always seem to give each session its own unique look.

Amari is a senior at Robertsdale High School, and she plans to attend a four-year college next year to study business. She’s enjoyed spending her senior year with friends and making the most of everything that comes with the final year of high school. At the same time, she’s looking forward to what’s ahead and the opportunities that come with starting the next chapter.

She also did a fantastic job choosing outfits for her session. Both were long dresses with lots of movement, which always photograph beautifully at the beach. The white and pale blue colors she chose worked perfectly with the coastal setting and blended really well with the sand, sky, and water. Dresses like these add such a nice, classic look to beach portraits.

We wrapped up Amari’s Pensacola senior portrait session right on the beach as the sun started to set, and the sky did not disappoint. It turned into the prettiest purply-pink “cotton candy” sunset. That soft evening light combined with the calm water made the perfect backdrop for the final images of the session.

It was such a fun afternoon and a great way to capture this exciting season before graduation.
