Most people picture spring when they think of flower fields, but this particular field reaches its peak bloom in the middle of fall. Because of that, Ainsley and Tinsley’s flower field portrait session was perfectly timed to take advantage of the gorgeous blooms and the beautiful fall weather.
I had been keeping a close eye on this flower field for weeks, waiting for it to reach peak bloom. While I waited, Ainsley and Tinsley were already on standby, ready to jump in as soon as the timing was just right. Once the flowers opened, they didn’t hesitate to meet me at the field and follow me all over the place as we chased the best light and the prettiest spots for their portraits.
This wasn’t Tinsley’s first time trusting one of my “crazy location ideas.” Last winter, during South Alabama’s rare snowfall, she was just as willing to step outside for a snowy portrait session—and she brought that same great attitude to this shoot as well.
Ainsley was just as easygoing, and together the two of them made the afternoon such a fun experience. We laughed our way through the session, moving through the blooms, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying all the bright, vibrant color around us. They were such good sports!
Having taught both of these girls, it was so special to be able to spend time with them outside the classroom. Their energy, personality, and confidence made the session effortless—and, of course, they photographed beautifully....It also helps that they are stunning!
Thank you, Ainsley and Tinsley, for being up for the adventure. I can’t wait to see where the next location idea takes us!
